Databases & NoSQL Cornish Playhouse - Theater Detailed Session
Sep 17, 2016 04:30 PM - 05:15 PM(UTC)
20160917T1630 20160917T1715 UTC Beyond MySQL The trends in storage seem to come and go, but there are some great tools around that can make a big difference to our applications. In this session we'll go beyond the basic MySQL or PostgreSQL relational setup and look at what else is on offer. Our traditional database platforms are offering increasingly modern and varied tools, and we can also add key-value stores, such as Redis, or NoSQL document databases, such as CouchDB, into our stack. This session takes a look at some of these tools and gives real examples of when they're useful and what it takes to include them in your application. If you'd like to know more about when to cache, when to move data to another platform, and when you'd be better off leaving things as they are, this is the session for you. Recommended for developers and tech leads everywhere. Cornish Playhouse - Theater Pacific Northwest PHP 2016 admins@seaphp.com
